Reynolds Entering E-Cigarette Market In A Big Way

Date: Jun-10-2013Reynolds American Inc. is preparing the release of a game-changing product in the e-cigarette category. Their e-cigarette called "Vuse", will enter one of the fastest-growing markets in the industry.

Although there is strong awareness of e-cigarettes among adult smokers, not that many are switching to them completely. Reynolds believes that it's because there aren't many products on the market which provide the consumer with what they are looking for.

However, the company believes that Vuse will change that.The e-cigarette is designed with innovative digital technology that ensures a satisfying vapor experience.

Stephanie Cordisco, president of RJRV (R.J. Reynolds Vapor Co), said:

"VUSE is powered by Smart Technology which is designed to monitor and regulate the power, heat and cartridge performance to ensure a perfect puff first time, every time.

To date, adult smokers who have tried e-cigarettes haven't found a product that performs consistently. With its digital technology, VUSE gives adult smokers considering e-cigarettes an innovative, high-quality product from a leading tobacco company."

According to RJRV, VUSE is completely designed and assembled in the U.S., and through automated manufacturing, the company ensures a consistently reliable cartridge every time.

Cordisco added that the e-cigarette has been designed to offer the "affordability and convenience of a disposable e-cigarette, while providing on-going cost savings and reduced environmental impact by being rechargeable."

'VUSE' Digital Vapor Cigarette

In July the VUSE Solo and VUSE System will be available in stores in Colorado.

VUSE Solo uses original or flavored cartridges and includes a USB charger as well as a rechargeable VUSE PowerUnit.

The VASE system includes three different flavored cartridges as well as a VUSE PowerUnit, a USB charger and an AC wall adapter, and a carrying case.

The cartridges will be available separately at various different stores. The cartridges are designed to last about as long as a normal pack of cigarettes.

The VUSE Solo will cost approximately $10 and the VUSE System around $30.

Safety of electronic cigarettes
The use of electronic cigarettes is not linked to increased risk of acute adverse effects on cardiac function, according to research reported at the European Society for Cardiology 2012 Conference in Munich, by researchers from the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center, Athens, Greece.

The researchers reported that electronic cigarettes are much less harmful than smoking regular cigarettes.

Switching from tobacco products to electronic cigarettes could be an effective way of helping people quit smoking.

In a Boston University School of Public Health study, 31% of 222 respondents in an online survey reported that they hadn't smoked any tobacco products since buying the electronic cigarette six months previously.

Lead author of the Boston study, Michael Sieger, said that this study suggests that "electronic cigarettes are helping thousands of ex-smokers remain off cigarettes."
