Extractables & Leachables Europe 2013 Conference, 10-11 December 2013, London, UK, Call For Papers

Date: Jun-27-2013Smithers Rapra are now accepting papers for the 2013 edition of their European Extractables & Leachables conference. Following from the previous success of E&L conferences held by Smithers Rapra, the 2013 forum is set to be the largest European event in the field of extractables and leachables to date.

The programme will provide cutting-edge analysis of testing techniques and high-level insight into the global regulatory landscape, whilst providing extensive time for debate and networking. Attendees will be given the latest information on regulatory updates, results from industry working groups and progress in analysis of new materials for pharmaceutical packaging.

There will be a great opportunity for extensive networking from the evening social programme, featured breaks, in addition to panel discussions within the conference programme, structured to enhance the knowledge-sharing experience for delegates. Plus, E&L 2013 will once again be co-located with Smithers Pira's flagship conference, Plastics and Paper in Contact with Foodstuffs, providing delegates with further extended networking opportunities.

Smithers Rapra are now recruiting papers from experts and companies that have established best practice in the field of extractables and leachables. Organisations presenting a paper at this conference will have the opportunity to present to all parts of the pharmaceutical supply chain and will be firmly positioning themselves at the forefront of E&L activity. Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the expert programme advisory board, consisting of E&L expert Dr Andrew Feilden from Smithers Rapra and industry representatives Carsten Worsoe of NovoNordisk and Thomas Egert of Boehringer Ingelheim.

All submitted themes will be considered, however Smithers Rapra will be particularly interested in receiving papers on the following:
E&Ls relating to medical devices, PODP, parenterals, drug delivery pumps and opthalmics
E&Ls relating to active and intelligent packaging
DPIs vs regulatory expectations
Life cycle management; toxicology of possible leachables
Advances in the risk assessment methodologies relating to E&Ls.
