4th Annual Cold Chain MENA, 8-11 December 2013, Dubai

Date: Nov-18-2013
IQPC is hosting the 4th Annual Cold Chain MENA conference from 8-11 December 2013 at the Amwaj Rotana in Dubai, UAE.

This event focuses on the supply, distribution and storage of temperature sensitive drugs across the MENA region. With the rise in local manufacturing and importing of biopharma drugs, pharma companies are facing stiff challenges in handling temperature controlled drugs due to lack of advanced technologies to protect products in hot climatic zones, lack of skilled manpower, lack of qualified drug distributors and transport agents and lack of adherence to government policies and frameworks and more.

This event will bring together the supply chain, logistics, quality, warehouse and regulatory affairs heads from pharma companies, drug distributors and clinical trial companies together to discuss various strategies, techniques and solutions for the persisting challenges faced.

The conference will bring together key stakeholders involved in framing policies and regulations such as: Dr. Amin Hussain Al Amiri, Asst. Undersecretary for Medical Practice and license (CEO), Ministry of Health, UAE; Dr. Ola Ghaleb A. Al Ahdab, Pharmaceutical Advisor, Registration and Drug Control Department, Ministry of Health, UAE; Seham Al-Rabady, Head of Research and Development, Registrations Department, Jordan Food and Drug Authority (JFDA) and Dr. Shyam Bawikar, Advisor Epidemiologist, Ministry of Health, Oman who will be discussing the various policies pharma companies and distributors should practice to avoid casualties due to non-degradation of drugs.

The conference is spread over four days which includes one pre-conference and one post-conference workshop and two full conference days featuring industry experts from companies such as: GlaxoSmithKline, Bayer Healthcare, Novartis, Boehringer Ingelheim, NMC, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer Gulf FZ LLC and more who will be sharing their best practices through case studies and keynote presentations. Internationally renowned companies such as: SkyCell, Berlinger, Laminar Medica, Temperature Sensitive Solutions (TSS), Minnesota Thermal Science, LLC, Emball'iso and Softbox Systems will conduct technical presentations and showcase latest advancements in packaging, temperature monitoring, freight forwarding and more.
